Interview
I found this position on indeed.com and applied on their company website. I received an email about a month later stating if I was still interested to give the recruiter a call. We scheduled a 30 min phone interview but, was actually around 20-25 mins. She was very nice and asked simple questions such as what’s your major? How did you hear about this opportunity? And other questions surrounding relocation. I was then asked to schedule a webcam interview that will take around 30-45mins. The webcam interview was very comfortable and I actually felt like the recruiter was interested. She asked me questions that I haven’t been asked before in any other interview. Describe your current job. Tell me about a time when you had to deliver bad news to a customer. Describe a time when you went bigger and beyond for a customer. Are you willing to relocate? Do you have drivers license? If so, is your vehicle report clean? After the webcam interview was completed I was informed that the recruiter would like to move foward. I was sent an email with clear instructions to fill out separate application, consent to a background check/MVR report and submitt 3 writing samples. It took a while to hear back from the recruiter but, I sent her an email to check up on the status. I was told everything checked out and I received a call to schedule my flight to Rhode Island for my final interview. They pay for round trip flight, meals and hotel stay at Marriott. Also, I was asked to contact 3 associate adjusters and have a chat with them regarding the role and ask any questions. Very nice people. I can tell they wanted to help me out as much as they could. Arrived at the hq with two other interviewees and waited till someone came down and got us. We started off with free breakfast in the company cafeteria and got the chance to ask any questions before we head upstairs for our three 30min interviews. The three rounds of interviews were more of a conversation than actual interview. However, that made me extremely comfortable. They want to see if you can answer questions, keep up a conversation, and interact with people. I highly recommend to read up on the company, the position and try to remember the conversations from the three adjusters you had to contact. THEY WILL ASK YOU ABOUT THIS. TRUST ME! ALL THREE VP’s WILL ASK! Remember to sit up straight, always make eye contact and answer questions to the best of your knowledge. They will judge you on all this stuff. Interviews were done and we all had free lunch in the company cafeteria. Try to be outgoing, friendly and ask questions. Trust me it will pay off since they look at all this stuff. Thank me later. After lunch we were given a tour of the Amica facility . We got the chance to talk with a few employees in their office and ask them questions. Nice people and love their job. Very beautiful and well kept facility. Loaded with adwards from JD Power and awards for customer satisfaction. Lastly, we were asked if we had any more question and told our day was pretty much over. He wished us all good luck and proceeded to walk the other two candidates to their cars. I waited a few seconds for my driver to pull around and take me back to airport. I sent out thank you emails to each VP and 2days later I was called and offered the position by the recruiter.
