A month later a hiring manager called and requested that I interview for a verification position within the group. I interviewed for about a week with the company. Most questions centered on CPU architecture, modern design verification engineering and discussions about specifics related to the opportunity. My final interview was with someone who was speaking fast, using poor English, and who kept making changes to the requirements of the interview question on the fly. In the end I was not extended an offer. I feel the interview process there is -- like many companies in the Bay Area -- broken and in need of 3rd party oversight as I feel I was subjected to an attempt to be tripped up in the interview and when they could not exhaust my technical ability just made up an excuse not to hire me.
