I didn't get the position, but was really confused when I found out why: I had interviewed for a Project Manager position, but was turned down because "I seemed like I wanted to be more of a Project Manager than a Business Analyst".
Turns out they were confused as to what they were hiring for. Judging from the other interview reviews on here; it looks like i'm not the only one.
Our Technology Analyst is a unique role that is part Project Manager and part Technical Business Analyst. This person will need PM skills across many accounts but the main responsibilities are heavy technical requirements documentation, planning sessions, brainstorming, focus groups etc.
You have a strong development background with recent project management experience that would be great in this role but I understand the desire to stay on the PM side working with the development teams. I respect your decision to focus on what makes you happy.
I wish you the best in your job search.
