I had a screening interview with a recruiter, but it was extremely perfunctory. I think he was just checking whether I'm a real person. I had no opportunity to tell him about myself, my experience, my strengths, my ideas for the company, etc. He was friendly, but fundamentally uninterested. He said he'd definitely pass me onto the next step, but I didn't hear back until 2 months afterwards when I got an email saying the position had been filled.
