There were 3 interviews. The first one was in a group of 18 people and about 4 staff. All they did was introduce us to Apple and what they were looking for. Then we were split into groups and given a job role that Apple offers. With that, you are to come up (with your group) with a problem and then propose a solution. After that was role play. one round half the room was a customer given a scenario by the staff leader and the other half were Apple employees. After that, the roles were switched. It was pretty easy since they were asking for natural reactions. The people I was sitting with though, were over the top, over friendly/engaging and just plain annoying. I had also noticed a staff at the corner of the room writing down notes every time someone said something. I past my 1st interview. The 2nd one was at the same location (a facility that rents rooms for conferences and meetings) but with only 4 candidates. He basically briefed us on the customer experiences that we have (I noticed he had his phone lying screen down and when the interview was over, he flipped it and tapped something. I assuming he was recording the session). He mainly asked us what we would feel if we were in a certain situation (for example helping 3 customers at a time). I thought this was stupid since we've never even worked at Apple. How the hell are we supposed to know how it feels!! I past the 2nd interview. The 3rd (and final) interview was at an Apple store that I had proposed to work at. This one was the weirdest and probably the most unfair one. He said he would ask us two questions (he then said he lied and had 3 questions instead). The first question was, "What does Apple do as a company?' He said that most groups got this question wrong. We took turns guessing words. Of course we were all wrong (I think the correct word is progress or advancement. Something to do with growing and progressing). Then after a while he told us, if there were no wrong answers, what would we say. We said some more words. After a long and uncomfortable pause he said, if you don't communicate then you don't inspire each other's creativity. Really?... Really? He used that as an example to give us some life lesson?........ Funny enough, most of the interview was him giving us life lessons and talking about human character. Most of it was really nice and very good but I felt it did nothing to show what we offer to Apple and how we as possible candidates can work there. The 2nd question was what two events that happened in your life were the most life changing. This offended me a lot. How dare you ask people you don't even know about such personal things?! Specially in a group interview. I got very offended and considered leaving! So I sort of made up my points. Something inspirational but still a bit generic (honestly, I've never had specific events that changed my life. I have grown as a person gradually and took life lessons along the way). After that, he said, I lied, I actually have 3 questions! Idiot. The 3rd question was what advice would you give yourself if you could travel 5 years into the past? NOT information or what would you tell yourself, but what ADVICE would you give. This question confused me because either way you would still have the advantage of foreknowledge (he used a different word). In the end we all gave a generic answer. Mine was, Be persistent. Finally he asked us if we had any questions. Then we said our goodbyes and left. I got an email two days later saying they have accepted other people.
