I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Apple in Jun 2017
Interview
A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn. We had an initial conversion about my experience and the position. Then a second recruiter contacted me to schedule a technical phone screen.
After the phone screen was scheduled, I asked if the tech phone screen can be rescheduled and suggested an alternative date and time. It was exactly a week before the set date and time. I did not hear anything from the recruiter for couple of days, so I wrote a follow-up email to check if it is possible to reschedule the tech screen. Nothing again... Since no one confirmed anything with me and I did not hear anything from the recruiter, of course I assumed that the interview was not rescheduled. Somehow they decided to call me for the phone screen on the new date and time that I had suggested. I couldn't pick up the call because I was busy at the time. 20 minutes they called, I received an email that the interview was indeed rescheduled! I tried contacting both of the recruiters again explaining the situation. The first recruiter just said that he will message the second recruiter.I never heard from any of them again.
I know that Apple is a big company and everyone is busy. However, the unresponsiveness of the second recruiter was extremely rude!!! I am very disappointed with Apple! I am submitting this review because I want recruiters to show more respect to candidates in the future.
