I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Apple (Chatswood) in Sep 2021
Interview
As I learnt a few months following my role acceptance, it begins with 500-1000 applicants every quarter. Around 20 were selected for a group workshop to test social dynamics. These people had a consistent theme of being geographically close to the store, so I believe at the time they just selected the a few dozen by proximity and then actually read applications to find 20 people that have unique/creative and social vibes. My resume was sparse. The group interview was about 4 hours and resulted in 5 people having up to 3 interviews in-store. I was 1 of 3 hired and had all 3 interviews with the managers. I made a point to mention team culture i.e. family/community and how important being genuine and authentic is for customer trust. I didn't know I had a disability at the time - it was constant intense lighting, music and during weekend/holiday it would be a sea of 100+ people. I think they would have been receptive to finding me a quieter role.
Plusieurs entretiens, systématiquement en groupe. Processus assez long. Le plus difficile des entretiens que je connaisse. Parfois une longue attente avant réponse. Possibilité de repasser un entretien 6 mois après un échec.

Question 1
Racontez une situation difficile et comment vous y avez fait face.
It’s a very long process so have patience. Sometimes they will give you feedback but if you are external you will just receive a turn down email. Keep applying. Apple says it’s not a NO. It’s a not now and that’s very true.
Famously competitive as always, my odds were better since I kept updating my resume whenever I was on the job search. They reached out to me first by email, I completed an application, and then had three rounds of interviews in total.
