I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Applebee's (San Jose, CA) in Jan 2015
Interview
I went into the restruant and turned in my application. Someone then called me on the phone and we talked for about 30 minutes. The asked me about my background and how I dealt with stressful situations. How long I had been in the industry and why I was looking to leave my current job. I enjoyed the talk and am sad I didn't move forward. I guess I didn't have the background they were looking for. It was definitely not as bad as I was expecting. The reviews on here make it sound like it's an awful place to work. Maybe I dodged a bullit

Question 1
What's the most table you've ever served at one time?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Applebee's
Interview
In person interview. They asked many personality fit questions. Seemed like they care more about if you fit their vibe rather than your experience or aptitude as a server. Quite liked my interviewer honestly.
“The interview process typically starts with an application review, followed by an interview with the manager to assess customer service skills, availability, and experience. Depending on the role, there may be situational or behavioural questions to understand how candidates handle teamwork, fast-paced environments, and customer interactions. Successful candidates may then proceed to onboarding and training.”
Did an interview with assistant manager, lasted five minutes and they wanted to do another interview with the head manager.
Only asked me two questions which was weird, I never had an interview like that before.
Pretty pointless imo and I don't think they respect your time well - from reading other reviews it seems quite unconviential though so maybe it was just a weird store.
