I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Applied Industrial Technologies (Houston, TX) in Mar 2015
Interview
Called by their internal hr/recruiter. He painted a rosy picture. It was for the Applied MS&S division. The next step was a call a few hours later by their Sales Manager in market. Set up face to face interview. For a few days later. Met face to face the Sales Manager was upfront and honest and said base salary was very low in mid 20's plus commision. The compensation plan would transition to straight commissions after 2 years. No car allowance, expenses, etc. The top rep in this market was making mid 40's.

I interviewed at Applied Industrial Technologies (Chennai)
Interview
Had a phone interview and it was just a normal introduction. The recruiter asked about salary requirements and then expressed that my salary requirements were higher than what they started at. He then came back and said their VP still wanted to interview me and sent a link to formally apply which I did right away. U never heard back despite sending a follow up message. It is a professional courtesy to at least follow up.
Three phase interview process. First spoke with HR, then Regional manager, also went for a ride along with another account manager. Overall the process was smooth with open communication and efficiency.
