Waste of one's precious time. Why do you need 5 repetitive interviews to determine if the person is the right fit? All while telling the person that they are your strongest candidate and to keep waiting.
To give context, first interview was early January. Rejection message was mid April. No one showed up on the 4th interview. After 5th pointless interview, the recruiter told me hiring manager travelled and will take him 3weeks. Meanwhile job was reposted and I knew someone from our cyber community interviewing for the same job.
I genuinely feel bad for people who really need the job having their time wasted by these people. I had 2 offers lined up and ended up going with one of the offers. Their pay is below market rate at 90k for the experience they want, and they weren't even willing to pay that. It's an employer's market so disoriented companies like this can get away with things like this. Team is disorganized, no clear cut description of what you will do daily. Questions are basic cyber questions and personality type questions.
