As a contracted position, the interview is as such: you talk with the Artech contact and they set up all the interviews with the Google contact. You have no contact with Google (no follow-up thank you letters, no emails, nothing). You only talk with the contractor. My contact at Artech sent me 5 PdF's on how to act in the interview: what to wear, what to say, how to act. You are expected to be very prepared. To be groomed so much for an interview is quite demeaning, but I think they are just looking for a specific personality. Note: this is a contracted position. They say that there is the opportunity to maybe sign on as a full-time Google employee. This is not technically a lie but guaranteed there is only a .01% chance this will happen.
