I applied through a recruiter. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Asana in Dec 2015
Interview
The recruiter reached out to me via email and set a time to chat over the phone. Then she sent me an online coding challenge. After the coding challenge there was an hour long phone interview. The interviewers were very personable and friendly. For the phone interview you don't need to code and they just ask you to describe the algorithm. There was two algorithm questions and one question in which they first asked me to design a database and find the optimum way to perform a specific query. After phone interview, I had 3.5 hour long interview via Skype. I think because I was an intern applicant and I wasn't in bay area my on-site interview was also over Skype instead of being in-person. There was three coding questions, two algorithmic questions and two design question. The questions were relatively easy very well known problems that I think most candidates have seen them before. The difficult part of the interview was to describe them over the phone.
As of now, just completed the first call with a recruiter, will update as it will go on, no idea how it will go, the recruiter was very nice, asked how much salary I expect and when can I start
