I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Ascend Performance Materials (Gainesville, FL) in Oct 2015
Interview
I applied at my University's career fair. Later that afternoon I received a phone call saying that they would like to schedule me for an interview. It was a 2 on 1 interview, one of them was a recent graduate from my university. They asked 4 questions, and they were all typical "tell me about a time when..."
About a week later I received an email saying that they were not extending me an offer.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ascend Performance Materials (Decatur, AL) in Mar 2015
Interview
Spoke with recruiter to start with, very professional, HR assistant set up travel and interview schedule, tons of mistakes lots of going back and forth, she was hard to get in touch with never seems to be in her office. Interview lasted all day, lots of individual interviews a few tag teams. Interviewers didn't say it but seem to be overwhelmed by some of the questions they asked

Question 1
Same questions, they were all reading from a list, guessing the HR department gave it to them
Thank you for sharing your feedback on the interview experience. I know the adage is “sometimes you win, sometimes you lose,” but I like the title of John Maxwell’s recent book much better: “Sometimes You Win—Sometimes You Learn.”
Thanks again for the sharing the feedback here, we’ll take the learning on this one. Good luck in your pursuits.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Ascend Performance Materials (Decatur, AL) in Feb 2013
Interview
It began with an on campus interview at the University of Florida. Thirty minutes, normal questions, things went well. Two weeks later, I received a call scheduling a phone interview. The phone interview was longer, with more detailed questions about my work experience. Several days later I received an email asking for my dates of availability for an on site interview. They made the travel arrangements; there was some confusion about the rental car, I had to pay for it and ask for reimbursement for that and two meals.
The interview itself started with a safety video with some comprehension questions which were easy and granted me a yearly pass for the plant. Next I spoke with a pair of interviewers who asked me detailed questions about my education. Following that was an extensive tour of the plant which was informative and eye-opening. After that I had another interview with a pair, including a recent hire my own age. Finally, there was an exit interview with the HR department, who was most congenial.

Question 1
Though I hadn't mentioned it or put it on my resume, the first on-site interviewers asked me about my Senior Design project. I wish I had more closely reviewed the details the night before.
