Bizarre interview experience. I was contacted by a recruiter about a month after I applied. There was no HR or recruiter screening, but instead they set me up to speak with a c-suite exec for my initial call. I was asked to walk through my resume and the interviewer's response was that they didn't see how I had any experience relevant to the role. At that point I didn't really know what to say, because if they didn't think the experience listed on my resume was a good fit, I don't know why they would even invite me for an interview. The whole conversation maybe lasted 15 minutes, and needless to say it was incredibly awkward. The interviewer closed by telling me that they had a ton of other candidates who were way more qualified than I was. I found the entire experience to be incredibly unprofessional. My assumption is that they interviewer had either already made up their mind about another candidate and met with me as a formality, or they haven't had any luck hiring for the role because of how disrespectful they are. Based on the employee reviews, seems like I dodged a bullet anyway.
