      Customer Success Manager Interview

      Nov 26, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      San Francisco, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Aspire (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2018

      Interview

The interview process was very thorough and enjoyable! I spoke with two people separately over the phone to discuss the role and talk about my background. I was asked to put together a 10 min case study to present during the in person round of interviews. I was flown out to the San Francisco office to meet in person with 5 people. I met 3 people from my team (1 asked about my customer service skills and had me answer example emails; the other two interviewed me together and had me present my case study to them), one person from HR (asked me personality based questions) and the CEO Eric (asked me about influencer marketing and that industry as a whole, and the company vision). I loved speaking with each person, as they all had different insights into their experience at the company, but all genuinely loved working for AspireIQ. It was exciting and very telling that the CEO took time out of his day to talk to me. I absolutely loved hearing about why he started the company and the plan for the future.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Aspire

      Interview

The team seemed very nice however, the interview process was VERY unorganized which led me to withdraw my application. Companies need to understand interviews go both ways. The process was a big red flag for me and could've been avoided. - The initial contact email stated my first contact would be a phone call. The confirmation asked for my phone numebr and provided no links to a Zoom call. 5 min before the call, the recruiter reached out and said they forgot to send the Zoom link for a video call. I had 3 min to prepare for a video call. - The video call went OK. I feel like the manager did not have some of the answers to my questions and the call was cut short becuase they did not have the paid version of Zoom. - I was told the next steps would be a meeting with the next manager up, which they later changes to a full presentation with 6 people for 20-30 min EACH.

      Customer Success Manager Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Aspire in Jul 2024

      Interview

Multiple team members mentioned previous turnover and retention issues and after interviewing, I understand why. They will tell you the process is 3-4 weeks, expect more like 7-9 with them ghosting after the presentation. Don't waste your time on the QBR, they are looking for ways they can improve without compensation for the knowledge you're bringing. The CEO was driving during my final presentation, clearly not engaged and disrespectful of my time and effort on the presentation. You will have to chase down responses regarding the status of your application even when moving on to the next round -- estimated timings for follow ups never correct or prompt.
