Telephone interview first which went well, then we scheduled a local interview with the manager. Met with a couple of managers for the local interview. The atmosphere was relaxed, the people were great, and the questions and discussion were applicable but light-hearted; it seems to be a good place to work. The first half hour seemed to go very well but I was then asked to demonstrate my technical skills with a live test on their computers. I wasn't expecting the test and it caught me completely off guard, I choked and did poorly. When the test was over they asked if I'd like a little bit more time but I was too far gone and declined. We had a short meeting afterwards and wrapped up. I think the test was fair and the person giving it did a good job, I just wasn't prepared for it. As I left I figured I wouldn't receive an offer, and the next day I got an email saying I wasn't right for the job.
