I never made it past the phone screen for Athene. The person I talked to was very nice. They were just your basic phone screen questions. I was told they were urgently hiring and I would hear back in a few days on the next steps. I heard back two weeks later that I was no longer being considered for the role and they are hiring someone else based 100% on experience. A week later I saw the exact same job posting up on LinkedIn with the same responsibilities and all.
