Telephone screening seemed irrelevant, could not acknowledge technical skills relevant to job description but was asking about technical proficiency in past roles. When asked why I wanted to join the organization the question had already been answered with replies given related to technical skill.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at AtkinsRéalis (Calgary, AB) in Feb 2013
Interview
Standard hiring process used by big corporations. First stage- phone pre-screening interview with HR and 2 months later had a second stage - panel interview with hiring manager and HR. A couple of hours after panel interview I received a package of documents for the background check. Filled it in and sent back to HR and after the background check, I received the job offer. It took them around 10 days to check my background info.
