I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Atlassian in Jul 2019
Interview
A former coworker referred me for this position and I was contacted by a recruiter within a few days. She set-up a time to chat with me, and about 15 minutes before our call, she texted me to see if I was available later that day. I replied to the text, and she never replied back, so I was literally just kind of sitting at my desk waiting to hear back from this person.
Never did.
So, the next day, I emailed her to set-up a different time. This began a long back-and-forth in which we would either 1) agree to a time and the recruiter never showed up, or 2) the recruiter would schedule a call literally outside of the times that I'd said I was available. It was super bizarre, and this sad saga ended with me never talking to the recruiter and getting an email about three weeks later saying that they'd decided to go with another candidate.
I'd honestly expected more from Atlassian :/
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Atlassian
Interview
The process from beginning to end took just under two weeks. I was contacted by a recruiter at Atlassian via LinkedIn, had the phone screening with the recruiter, next was a zoom call with the hiring manager and then a virtual onsite round to finish the process.
They asked for an assessment, in the form of 2 nurture emails for the product I was interviewing for, as well as recommendations on what I would change on the product landing page to optimize and increase sign-ups and page traffic.
After the assessment was submitted and the final round interview (4 back-to-back meetings for the virtual on-site). During the process, I was told I would hear back in 48hrs but never received any feedback on the assessment or the interviews, from either the recruiter or the hiring manager.
Interview questions [5]
Question 1
What would you do to help increase sign ups for our product?
Large time lag in between HR screening, first conversation with Hiring Manager and scheduling the final rounds. Otherwise , the team was very professional and friendly, had very job/task-specific questions versus broader, hypothetical questions, and HR was great on the follow up.

Question 1
What Metrics would you use to measure success post launch?
I applied online. I interviewed at Atlassian in Sep 2020
Interview
Scheduled an initial phone screen with recruiter, which was rescheduled multiple times on their end. Once I finally had a conversation with them, the recruiter informed me that the role had been filled, which was misleading and confusing.
