I wanted to leave a review for Marketing as there weren't a lot of interview examples or relevant information that I could find online.
To start with, the way I landed my initial screening interview was to reach out directly to the hiring manager. I actually used a product of theirs (Loom) to record an intro video and show my portfolio. This brief video got my name flagged for the recruiter.
This I'm stating, because at companies with hundreds of applicants it is important to stand out.
I had my first invite to interview with the recruiter which was Monday June 3 and I interviewed for about 20-25 minutes on June 6th.
The interview was mainly going over the role and salary and making sure I was okay with numbers. She also asked about my other interviews so she could be cognizant of my timeline which I appreciated.
Friday June 7, I was invited to next steps and scheduled my next interview. (Disclaimer, because I reached out to the hiring manager and already had made a good impression...I might have already been flagged for next steps and been expedited).
Prior to my next interview, I was asked to do a simple project showing off a project or campaign that I did. I showed off one that truly had a variety of KPIs and different content that I had produced.
I interviewed Wednesday, June 12 for about 30 minutes, where I had great discussion with the future direct report. Because I had submitted my project already she was able to just go through that, and it was really more conversational and felt good. I let her know of other late stage interviews, and she let me know right away that she was moving me to panels which was refreshing.
The recruiter reached out that afternoon and I scheduled panels for Thursday June 20th.
Panels were 3 people back to back to back. The first was with a Product Marketer, the second with Content Marketer, and the third was a values one with a Senior Software Engineer.
The recruiter gave me links to their LinkedIn's, gave me what I would cover in each interview, and gave me examples of resources to use.
I was able to prepare with multiple responses that tied into their values and it took a lot of stress out of the actual interview process.
After interviews I reached out and thanked them, and let them know I was expecting another offer the next week (which I got), but was prioritizing them.
On Monday, June 23 I was offered the role. They did say they sped up the process for my timeline though, so don't expect it to always move that fast.
I accepted the offer and will start July 15th.
