I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Atlassian
Interview
Positive interview experience which included the following stages:
1. Recruiter call (15 mins): They wanted to provide more information about the role but also asked questions about why I applied, what I wanted out of my next role and salary expectations.
2. Interview (1 hr): asked skill-based questions that were required of a program manager such as starting a program from scratch, managing competing priorities etc
3. Case Study (45 mins): required to do a homework task using information from an existing program (roughly 4 hours to complete the task), followed by a presentation to the interviews. In the presentation, the interviewers asked things like what you enjoyed about the process, what you found challenging, how you would scale the program if you were the program manager
4. Values Interview (45 mins): values-based questions with someone who works at Atlassian, but was not directly part of the hiring team. Questions included things like tell me about a time you had to give someone constructive feedback, share an example of a time when you were able to turn around the performance of an individual or team.
Overall, a positive experience with the recruiter and the hiring team. Be prepared to put in a lot of work/conversations to the process, which may not result in the desired outcome (not getting the job).
