1. Phone interview: 15 mins max
2. In-person interview with hiring manager
3. In-person interview with an individual who has the same title
4. Interview with sales team
I interviewed with the Manager in early June, then was asked to come back the following week for an in-person interview. While I was there, I guess I had enough time over to meet with the person who had the same job title and ask a few questions. I was asked again to come back for a final final interview with the sales team. After each interview, I made sure I sent ‘thank you e-mails.’ I was informed by the hiring manager that there was two other strong candidates (1 internal and 1 external) and she would make a decision in a week. Well, a week passed and no response, I sent a follow-up e-mail after the sales team interview. After a second week passed and no response and I called and left a voicemail. Two weeks AFTER my sales team interview, I receive a generic e-mail from the hiring manager “Thank you for continuing to follow up with me on this position. We have decided to move in another direction. I will keep your resume on file in case a similar opportunity becomes available. I wish you the best of luck in your job search.”
POOR management skills and how this was handled. I’m honestly glad no offer was made. Best of luck to anyone who applies and gets a position.
