Even though I marked it as "yes I got the offer", the truth is -- the interview never happened, and I was mysteriously ghosted by the interviewer. The hiring manager (the interviewer) messed up the agreed upon interview time, and didn't show up at the interview. I followed up with him professionally, didn't push him or blame him, but told him we could totally reschedule to another time that works better for him. He proposed a day, and I confirmed. And then, I was ghosted by him even until now.
At first, I thought it's because that position was already closed because they have found a more suitable candidate. However, I found out later that this position is open all this time, even weeks after he didn't respond to my email! I sent him another email to follow up, and explained that I saw that this role is still hiring, so whether we could still schedule another time for the interview -- He never responded. Still ghosting me. He would rather not find a candidate all this time than have an interview with me or own up to his mistakes.
I don't care that he messed up the interview time. Mistakes happen. But it's what he did after he made the mistakes that made me truly surprised. He didn't really apologize, he didn't show me any respect, he didn't respond or treat it professionally.
I don't even know how this kind of person can still be a Senior Director at this company. That's a red flag. It basically shows us what kind of a company this place is like. (Also, for the interview invite he sent and the last and only email response from him, please check the "Interview Questions" section.)
