Initial email from admin to set up a call, short phone interview, long on-site interview with 4 people. I took sick time off work to come in to their office for over 2 hours. I met with 4 different people who all asked different types of questions depending on how they related to the position.
The interviewers spoke as if I was the obvious candidate for the job. I felt confident and they seemed happy with my performance. The initial call had gone well, so I was excited and felt it was all going well.
At the end of each interview, the person expressed that I could reach out to them with any questions and said they'd be in touch. At the end, they walked me out and reiterated they'd be in touch.
The next day, I separately emailed each interviewer, thanking them for their time and reiterating my interest. No response.
A few days later, I wrote to the main interviewer on LinkedIn, thinking my emails may be going to spam. No response, but he read it. The next week, I reached out again asking when I would hear back. No response.
This is some of the most unprofessional behavior I've seen from a company. Why go through the effort to bring in a candidate if you're going to ghost them? You're alienating potential future workforce. Have the guts to reach out and say you're going with anther candidate next time. Everyone deserves that courtesy. I'm glad I will not be working for a company like this.
