I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at August Home (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2019
Interview
Typical bay area tech interview process. Screening with the recruiter, followed by coder pad technical phone screen with an engineer, and lastly a full day of on-site interviews with team members. Notable difference was that there was no architecture/design portion of the interview. Cool offices and friendly staff. Comparatively, the interview process moved very quickly. I was done with the process in about 4 weeks.
I had a bad experience interviewing at August Home. After a 30 minute recruiter screen, I received an email from their do-not-reply address informing me that I was cut in the process. This is extremely rude and unprofessional, especially given that I invested time in the interview process beyond submitting an application. I will not consider interviewing at August Home in the future, and will advise people I know to steer clear of this company.
