I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AutoZone in Apr 2013
Interview
I applied online and was called back within a week or so after putting in my application. I went in for interview with the store and district manager. They asked me the usual questions such as why do you want to work here, tell me about a challenging experience, why did you leave your last job. One element that was different was they asked a multitude of questions about different systems of the car such as suspension, charging, engine internals and air conditioning. They called me back the next day with an offer.

I applied online. I interviewed at AutoZone (Leander, TX) in Jan 2025
Interview
Went in to meet with the ASM, he asked a bunch of questions. I was asked when I could start. It was VERY casual. I went into the back like break room area and spoke with the ASM while he microwaved his ramen noodles.
Two interviews and done. I don’t remember much about the initial check in but I met with the store manager and everything went smoothly. Customer Service is the highlight of it all. Be willing to learn the rest.

There are two interviews. One with the stores General Manager and another with the district manager. The interviews are fairly simple with a small quiz on car part names and common interview questions.
