The interview was strange. With barely a hello, the HR person started reading me the job description. At least ten minutes later, they finally started to talk to me about this position and another that they had suggested that I apply for. For the first position, when we got to the part about salary expectations, I found out they were completely misleading. I was only interested in the higher end of the pay scale that they posted. They then explained that they could not offer this pay, because it was what you could possibly make in about 6 years. That was misleading. And for the 2nd job that they recommended that I apply for, they said that by looking at my experience, that I wouldn't be qualified for that position. This makes me wonder why the suggested that I apply for it in the first place. Big was of time and big disappointment. If you apply to any jobs Avantor, don't expect to get the higher range. I have never seen this before.
