I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Avantor (Phillipsburg, NJ) in Jun 2019
Interview
Phone Screening with HR , followed by a technical phone screening then followed by a 3 panel interview.
I am not one to turn down an opportunity, but this whole process for me was a waste of time. The job description calls for 5 years experience yet they were only willing to pay 60k-70k for the position. I told them that was very low especially since I have a masters degree and 4 years of industry experience. They decided to go ahead with the next screening and interviews. They were very nice people and I thought the interview went rather well. I asked for feedback a few weeks later and was told my experience did not meet the role specifications and they were exploring other candidates. I was then told that I should apply for a different position in the future. This is a load of baloney deny my application right from the beginning so I am not wasting my time and the company is not wasting salary wages on a 3+ hour interview. I am glad they did not extend the offer because I do not think they would have met my salary requirements anyways so it worked out regardless. I looked a month afterwards and they reposted the job right on their website.
