      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Axcient (Denver, CO) in Feb 2017

      Interview

I applied on-line for the position, and was contacted by a representative from "efolder" and interviewed at length by phone. I was asked to take a fairly difficult hour-long on-line assessment. I did very well on the assessment. I was told I would be contacted by someone "in a couple of days" for a second phone interview. A week went by and I wasn't contacted so I called the representative who'd called me. She asked if I could speak with the second person later that same day. I agreed. However, that person did not call me at the scheduled time. I emailed the first person who said the second person couldn't keep the appointment and asked if I could talk with her the next morning. I agreed. I received a call the next morning but heard no apology for not having kept the appointment the previous day. This individual was terse, haughty and somewhat rude. I told her about my highly successful 12 year history of new business development with IT and software companies. She didn't seem interested. I asked her what the "next step" in the interview process was to be and she said I will be contacted by the (first person) to schedule additional testing. I thought that odd, inasmuch as I had been told something quite different. The first representative did not contact me. I sent her several emails over a week period inquiring about the "additional testing" and finally a phone call, a week later. I received a boilerplate email saying they are "looking at other candidates who are a better fit." She did not answer my question about the alleged "additional testing". Now, "efolder" wasting my time for 2-3 weeks is one thing, but I do not appreciate being overtly misled and lied to. I was not impressed with the unprofessional handling.
