Went to 5 different stages of interviews overall in a span of 1.5 months. I was referred by a friend and first interviewed on the phone by the recruiter. 2nd stage I was interviewed by two of the managers of the department. Both were very nice and answers every question greatly. 3rd stage was a Japanese language assessment with a Japanese HR. It was just a casual conversation about the job and personal life. 4th stage was with the Vice Director. Similar questions with the 2nd stage interview and more about the overview of regional operations. 5th stage was with the Vice Director once again, with another counterparts from Japan (Japanese). It was a similar conversation but in Japanese. After 5 overwhelming interviews, I did not land the job. The recruiter did not bother to inform me the outcome of the interviews. Even after i followed up. I was informed by a friend that the job was given to another candidate and the person does not speak Japanese.
