Applied online, filled out some tests. I received a couple of emails with test links, which I completed. After about a week, I received an email with an invitation for a interview over the phone. I talked with the very nice recruiter for about 45min on the phone, and I was told that I would receive an answer at a maximum of one week later.
One week passed. No call. I followed up with an email about the current status. No response. 3 days after the mail, I tried calling her. No response. Eventually, I guessed that I was no longer of interest to them, but I wanted that message personally. I called their country head-office where I talked with the managing director of the program, who told me that they had selected another candidate. Naturally the director was a bit surprised that I had not gotten a response, but apparently "how it works in multinational companies". A bit strange that a process malfunction like this - i cannot be the only one - is just accepted, especially in a FMCG company. I guess niceness is only relevant if they need/want you.
