Interview
Started with standard phone screen, proceeded with small group interviews. Position got tabled and sent to another product category for more small group interviews. Would have progressed to in person interviews on campus but was removed from the process before that stage.

Question 1
Phone screen was standard to make sure no one was wasting each others time. First set of group interviews were a mix of STAR questions and determining a mutual culture fit. Second set was presentation skills test, ability to read Nielsen data, and an insane amount of questions about Bissell vacuums and the one I currently own. Ex. Did I own a Bissell? Which one? Why that one? What carpet cleaner did I pair with it. I had done research on the website in advance and it wasn’t enough to answer the questions.
Recruiter listed the job as remote but it was in person and didn’t clarify that until the end of the interview. Unfortunately a waste of time for both parties. The questions asked were very basic. I don’t think they understood what the role was.
The initial interviews are with a recruiter and then hiring manager. The next round is with people across multiple departments (maybe 3-4 interviews). They can be one-on-one or 2-person panels.
