Pretty standard interview process:
1. Phone screen - HR
2. Zoom behavioral/technical interview - Lead software engineer
3. Zoom technical interview - Software engineer
The technical interview was not too hard. Basic JavaScript questions and then a React screen share debugging exercise. Overall, the process was very smooth and I enjoyed speaking with all 3 interviewers.
Unfortunately, things fell apart at the offer stage. First of all, the salary was below market for software engineers and not competitive. The HR rep who presented the offer was condescending and it felt like he was talking down to me. I now have a negative impression of BISSELL because of this individual.
I accepted an offer from another company where I felt more respected and valued. The salary was a lot better too.
