I interviewed twice in person at one of the NYC stores. For some odd reason they requested I have yet another interview over the phone with a district manager. I thought that was overkill for this position. Well, that didn't end up happening because first they had to reschedule (which I had to call them for), then they didn't even answer the phone the many times when I tried to do so. That part is where I just thought there was too much irresponsibility on their end, and too much effort on mine. I guess most people who apply there fight tooth and nail to get in, but I felt it wouldn't be worth it for me to keep trying for this seemingly poorly led business.
The managers who interviewed me in store were nice, but told me they were pretty new to the company (less than a year each). I get the sense there is a lack of leadership and high turnover with these employees, so I would recommend applying elsewhere.

3 INTERVIEWS AND A 3 WEEK PROCESS FOR A RETAIL JOB AND I GOT REJECTED FOR NO REASON. I went to art school!!! I have worked retail before!! I submitted an application online that featured a few open-ended questions. That week I received a phone call from one of the managers and went through the process of a phone interview, which went really really well. I was called in for an in-person interview with a different manager the next week. After not hearing back for 2 weeks with no update, I checked in on the status of my application and was told the other manager was on vacation. I was then called in for A THIRD interview with the third manager, which again, I thought went well. 3 interviews for a seasonal retail job is absolutely bonkers. I received a default one-sentence rejection after 3 weeks interviewing.
