you interview with their HR 3rd party on the phone first, they pass your information to the branch manager to the location you applied. that branch manager may or may not wish to interview you in person based on the HR rep's summary of you, the HR rep will communicate it to you. In person interview is with the BM you will wok for and the BM from another nearby branch. The in person interview is generally really easy if the two managers are friends, it ends up being more of a judgement on your personality and like-ability than your capacity for the job. Afterwards they discuss you for about 30-50 minutes and immediately contact the HR rep to either offer you a position, reject you, or put you on hold to see if they like someone else more. I've seen all 3 happen to other UBs, an offer almost always comes on the same day.

The UB has 3 main job functions with 3 groups of questions. 1) Your ability to deal with angry customers and capacity to research weird bank problems, so some type of behavioral questions like "tell me about a time." 2) How comfortable you are at selling, some branches the UB might even make cold calls but all branches there's a high demand for you to identify and refer new checking accounts to PBs and refis to mortgage bankers. 3) UB is somewhat of a thankless job where you are the glue between tellers and bankers and fill in where the branch needs you, so some questions that help determine how well you fit in with the branch.

LONG. They kept sending me to meet with all of the branch managers in the region, so I ended up interviewing in person 4-5 times for the position. I had my phone interview in June and didn't start the role until September

Applied online and got a call fairly quickly for a phone interview, basic questions and talked about past experience. Interviewed with branch manager some behavioral questions fairly easy interview. Afterwards met with director waiting on offer.
