I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at BNY (New York, NY) in Jan 2019
Interview
One round recruiter screen and one thirty minute interview with the hiring manager. It was an entry level position for an incoming class of analysts at the bank and the whole process was straightforward. I heard back from them after a couple of days.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time a project did not go as expected and what did you do about it
Easy interview, behavioral questions only and only one interview. Panel interview. Laid back. No technical questions. Only 30 minutes and received a call from HR a week later that I was offered the job.
The first round is an introductory phone call with a recruiter where you talk about your qualifications and background. The second round, you talk with two managers and they ask you mostly behavioral and scenario-specific questions.
Was relatively laid back, questions were purely behavioral. Tell me about a time, walk me through your resume, etc... Had one phone call screen and then a zoom call "super day."
