I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BPM (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2022
Interview
I did my first interview with a recruiter. The next few days, I got an interview with two managers. In this interview, they stated we want you on our team and you’ll be hearing from HR about the next steps right?! Okay so a few days passed and I’m waiting on an offer and I get an email saying I needed to do a third interview with a partner. So I do that interview and she expressed that her concerns were that I didn’t have any tax experience. Keep it mind, this experience is clearly stated on my resume and I kept reiterating the tax experience mentioned. She also says like do you even know what accounting is?! Again, keep in mind that I just graduated with my Master’s in Accounting which is also listed on my resume and I also mentioned a few times! A few days later, I received an email saying that they weren’t moving forward! I am not sure how diverse they are but I guess my qualifications were overlooked.
