Unpleasant Interview Experience
I recently had an interview with BT for a Senior Manager position, and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory.
Despite preparing a presentation as requested, the interview took an unexpected turn. After a brief introduction and presenting my slides, the interviewers asked a specific question about handling situations in previous projects. Unfortunately, my response didn't meet their expectations.
Rather than providing constructive feedback, they abruptly stopped the interview, expressing their belief that I wouldn't be able to handle interactions with top management. The CIO left without further discussion.
I found this treatment unprofessional and disrespectful. A simple comment from the HR representative left me with the impression that, despite having a strong CV, I was considered unfit for the role.
Such an experience raises concerns about the company's professionalism and its treatment of candidates. It's disappointing when an organization doesn't respect the time and effort candidates invest in the interview process.
Prospective candidates may want to consider whether this aligns with their expectations before engaging in the interview process with BT.
