I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bain & Company (Sydney) in Mar 2020
Interview
Applied online and heard back with an interview offer. No psychometrics or video interview.
Very well organised, interviewees were all invited to a pre-interview networking breakfast with the chance to meet our interviewers. Each person also allocated to an individual buddy to ask questions.
Interview consisted of 3 x 45 minute case studies. These were one-on-one, with at least one case with a director/partner level employee. They were pretty standard cases, slightly on the easier side compared to the practice case books out there. Felt they looked more for communication and thinking process rather than getting the correct answer to the case.
Very long process. I heard that they relied heavily on seeing if we were able to use our feedback to improve throughout the rounds however because one of my interviews was running late I was not able to get any feedback to improve.
It was fine. The partner round interviews were less structured and much more difficult. Majority of my interviewers were really nice which made the process better than what I had anticipated.
2 rounds of interviews, each round consisting of 3 interviews with cases. In the first round 2 case interviews and 1 with HR. In the 2nd round you have 3 interviews with more senior profiles like managers and partners.
