I applied online and was contacted by HR for a telephone interview which was a general get to know you type conversation, the interviewer was very friendly and just asked about by CV, history and general question about myself, gaming and gambling. I was then sent an SQL test which I found moderate in difficulty but fun to do (using SQL was a desirable competency in the job vacancy not essential, but it was the test nonetheless). Once I had submitted it I was called later that day and invited in for an interview the next day in their lovely London offices. I was interviewed by 2 people from the Analyst department which were both very knowledgeable in their field and friendly in their interview approach. I was first asked general questions about what I know about Gamesys, gaming etc, similar to those asked by HR, I was then asked how I found the test, then a list of questions based on behavioural competencies. I personally thought the interview went well but unfortunately was emailed a few days later stating I was overqualified for the role, even though I am a recent graduate. I really wanted to work for this company and would not have applie, if the job was not something that I really wanted to do, but my history is clear on my CV and I should not have been invited to go through this whole process just to be told something they probably already thought. Companies ask for degree's and experience, but when you have it and your not in your early twenties your forever left in a catch22 if your trying to change your career. Congratulations to whoever landed this position, it seems like a great place to work.
