Horrible experience interviewing here. I had initially applied for a Product Specialist role and had my first round with one of the Product Specialist Managers at Base. She informed me next day that I'd be a better fit for a Customer Success Ops role and connected me to one of the Customer Success Managers. Then I had an interview with him, who then informed me that I would be a BETTER FIT for IMPLEMENTATION SUCCESS MANAGER role instead. How unprofessional of them to keep moving me from one role to another without asking what MY INTEREST was! After having around 4-5 interviews (phone screens with multiple people and a role-playing exercise)- I was told that I have done a pretty good job at clearing all these interviews and thatmy last interview would be with the CEO over hangouts. The recruiter set my interview up, and unfortunately sent me the wrong link to the hangouts! I was not able to connect with the CEO, and the interview had to be re-scheduled. The recruiter, once again, set me up with an incorrect link to the hangouts session and it was so difficult for me to keep reaching out to him again and again to send me the correct link. When I finally had an interview with the CEO, he started asking me what my interests are, and said that my interest in product management does not justify why I'm interviewing for an implementation Success Manager role. I mean seriously!!?? He had no idea that I was shuffled around between roles by their team members and then they rejected me because I was interested in product management 5 years down the line, and also because I was unable to show up on time for the hangout interview! HOW UNPROFESSIONAL OF THEM! The recruiter did not inform the ceo that the technical difficulty I faced was because of him and not because I was not punctual! Everyone at Base has no idea how to interview candidates and respect their interests.
