Final in-person interview with CEO Uzi Shmilovici was extremely discriminatory. He asked me how old I was and very much looked down on a short unemployment period (due to layoffs).
Recruiting procedure at Base seems highly unprofessional. I had multiple interviews with Base and although the hiring manger was pushing to get me through the interview flow faster than comfortable (back to back, at-home interview on the same day as in-person interviews), they never got back to me after final interview although they said otherwise. All interviews went very well except the one with CEO. If I had gotten an offer, I wouldn't accept because the CEO was rude, pretentious, and barely asked me about my experience or qualifications. If you're unemployed and interviewing with him, prepare to answer "Why is it taking you so long to find a job? It shouldn't be that hard. It should only take you 2 weeks in the Bay Area." I wouldn't work for a company leader like this.
Interview consisted of:
-writing assignment
-personality + skill assessment quiz (basic math, logic, etc.)
-phone call w/ hiring manager
-onsite panel interview with hiring manager and leads from other departments
-interview with c-level exec
-interview with CEO
