      Customer Success Operations Analyst Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Base CRM (Mountain View, CA) in Aug 2015

      Interview

Overall, the interview process was straight forward. I applied on the company's website and received an email from the Director of Customer Success asking me to schedule a phone interview. A few days after the phone interview, I received an email asking me to come in and meet the team. I then went through two in-person interviews; the first was with the Director of Customer Success and the second with the Sr. Business Operations Manager. All-in-all it was a good interview with some tough questions. There was one very strange thing about this interview though. The Director of Customer Success said that he wanted to me to meet the CEO that day, but unfortunately, he had "missed a flight" and was not in the office. However, when I was in the middle of my interview with the Sr. Business Ops Manager, he pointed out the CEO as he walked past the conference room we were in and said that he had a meeting with him in a few minutes.... Not sure who was lying, but it left me feeling like even if I did get an offer (which I assumed at that point I wouldn't), this wasn't a company I wanted to work for. The people I interviewed with seemed very smart and capable, but I really question the need for dishonesty.
