      Customer Service Manager Interview

      Jun 3, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at BaubleBar (New York, NY) in Feb 2015

      Interview

After a phone call and a few short e-mails, I was invited in for an in-person interview. Once I got there, they had little space for us to work as the offices and seating areas they had were overflowing with excited young women who all looked like variations on a Skipper doll. The energy was positive but the experience of the interview was delayed and then rushed. My interviewer and I sat on the floor opposite the elevators and talked about my experience and the systems I'd used for reporting at my job. She said she thought that two other people who were higher up would like to meet me and she went to go get them and see where we could move to talk, and then she came back a couple of minutes later and said "actually, that's going to be it for the day." I left and followed up over e-mail to thank her and to see if they wanted to schedule a followup or if there was more information I could provide about my experience or ideas to help with the next steps, and it was weeks later that I got a reply saying they'd gone with someone else.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BaubleBar

      Interview

I applied online and was called for a quick phone chat soon after. The young woman I spoke with was nice and asked pretty simple questions, and she confirmed an in-person interview with me through e-mail. When I went in for the interview, the meeting rooms were all overflowing (mostly with young white women in their 20s and early 30s from what I gathered) so we sat on the floor across from the elevators and chatted. She told me to hang tight while she went to get two or three main decision makers who would want to meet me. She gave me the impression that I was an exciting candidate they'd be happy to meet. When she returned a couple of minutes later she said that it would actually be all for the day and they'd reach out if there were any other questions they had. It seemed so abrupt and like a total 180. Anyway, after I followed up I got no response until a couple of weeks later when she reached out again to say thanks and they went with another candidate.
