      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at BaubleBar (New York, NY) in Apr 2019

      Interview

The interview process was very fast. I submitted my application and they gave me a design project to submit. I submitted the design project prior to the requested deadline, and I got an email back from HR that the supervisor was impressed, and she wanted to set up a skype interview with the assistant designer I'd be working under. The interview- in my opinion- went very well. I felt confident in our conversation and the answers to the interviewer's questions. At the conclusion of the interview, my interviewer stated that she was impressed at how the interview went, and I'd be hearing from someone in HR about setting up an interview panel with the rest of the design department to see how my personality meshes with the rest of the department. Weeks we by without an email or a phone call. I was unsurprised especially after reading other glassdoor reviews of their interviews and work experiences. Months later, I received a very brief email that I didn't get the job. Interviewing with BaubleBar was a waste of time, and they lacked the transparency that I would expect from a potential employer.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BaubleBar (New York, NY) in Aug 2023

      Interview

I applied online to a post for the fully REMOTE role: Sr. Associate Jewelry Designer - Licensing. I submitted a resume, link to portfolio as well as a supplemental .pdf portfolio. I received an email the following day congratulating me for making it past the 1st level of screening. In order to proceed with the interview process they requested I do a sample project consisting of a 3 piece collection with one item fully spec.'d out and to attach my mood board or any style exploration. I had 1 week to complete the task. HR responded quickly when I enquired if the role was indeed fully remote, which the said "Yes". They also acknowledged my submission had been received and would be forward to the creative team for review. They said to allow a week for that to happen. 4 days later i received the standard HR rejection email that my application would not be moving forward. I was pretty bummed, but glad I at least got some kind of notification considering so many places ghost. I did follow up with HR asking for feedback about my submission, but unfortunately never heard anything back. The following week I saw the job post I had originally responded to had been taken down and replaced with a NEW post for the same position but with a slightly reworded job title. Reading past reviews on GlassDoor, it seems like they always ask you to do a project, which I understand may be necessary, yet I am skeptical whenever companies require this. Had it not been a brand I was so excited about, I probably would not have done the project only to get the standardized rejection form letter. I really would have liked to have received a few personalized lines about my submission especially since I inquired. Something short and simple like, "Thank you, but we are looking for someone more: experienced, skilled in X, local., etc." I imagine they get a ton of applications, but as far as project submissions go I feel a few lines of feedback would have been nice. I hope they will consider that for future applicants.
