I was called and set up an interview. First I had a one on one with someone from HR. I was asked the usual questions and discussed my resume. The 2nd interview was with the department head of nutrition. I was very nervous by this point. I filled out several forms. This interview was very thorough. The usual questions were asked about how you wound handle a situation. Other questions were asked about attitude and past employments opinions of me. We went over my resume and I was literally grilled over the gaps in my employment. I had these gaps because I had previously worked seasonally at another company for several years.
Then I had to explain exactly how many months and hours I spent at each job. I never had an interviewer ask me such questions regarding my resume so it threw me off a bit. I was also asked to write an order for a patient meal and answer a few questions on what I would do for a certain scenario. The scenario was basically centered on how I would handle a situation if a patients order were not properly received through the printer. How would I problem solve the printer or would I contact the head of the department first. Then I was prompted to had me read the menu choices out loud. I left not feeling to well about the position. I was emailed shortly after getting home. I had to provide 5 references that would be emailed a survey to fill out about me.
