I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Bazaarvoice (Belfast, Northern Ireland) in Oct 2025
Interview
Respectful interviews but disorganised process and poor communication.
Interview experience:
The interview process at Bazaarvoice started well - the recruiter was friendly, and the conversations with the hiring team were engaging and professional. However, after my third-round, in-person interview, communication dropped off.
The in-person interview took place around three weeks after my second interview, and I actually had to follow up myself to confirm whether it was even going ahead, as I hadn’t received any confirmation from the recruiter. It was scheduled for around 45 minutes but lasted 90 minutes, and I also had to pay £11 for parking. The interview was held on a Friday, and when I arrived, the office was completely empty apart from the interviewer. It felt unusual and unnecessary for the discussion to be held in person, especially given the cost and travel involved.
I was told I’d hear back within a few days (no later than a week), but after multiple polite follow-ups, I received no meaningful update. After two weeks, the recruiter did reach out to apologise for the delay and said they hoped to provide an update later that day - but no further response ever came, and it’s now been four weeks since what was presumably the final interview.
It also appeared that the recruiter and hiring team weren’t communicating effectively throughout, which made the process feel disorganised and left a poor final impression. This was unfortunately the worst hiring experience I’ve had with a tech company in Belfast, which was disappointing given that I’d heard decent reviews about the company lately.
Feedback:
The people I met were professional and genuine, but the process itself needs better coordination, transparency, and accountability. Bringing closure to the process within a reasonable timeframe is vital - leaving candidates waiting indefinitely or not following up after multiple interviews feels unprofessional and can damage the company’s reputation. Even a short message to close the loop would make a big difference.
