I applied online and got a email a few days later from the internal recruiter to setup a phone interview. I chose my preferred day and time and also double checked that this suited her too and it did, great! It came to the time of my phone interview. 5 minutes after it was due to start I received an email from her stating she was running a little late, as she was on another call and "would be no more than 10 minutes" - no problem! ....An hour of sitting by the phone waiting later, I emailed asking would she like to reschedule to a different time as I had another meeting in work that I needed to attend. No reply. Ok I thought, something must have popped up that she couldn't get out of, I will leave it another while.. When I still had not heard anything at 4.30pm (Now 6 hours after the original scheduled time) I emailed her again and asked if she was still ok to go ahead with the phone interview and perhaps we could do a different day. I also said I would still love to chat and that I appreciate how a day can get away from you etc (Basically giving her a really easy open to amend not reaching out before now) One week later, I still haven't heard anything, not so much of an explanation . I was ghosted essentially. I have never endured such rudeness and unprofessionalism when applying to a company. I was really excited by this company and couldn't wait to hear about the role, but instead I had my time wasted, so no thanks!
