I had a great first interview over zoom and was asked back for an in-person interview for a hybrid role. The office is an open floor plan where no one has an assigned desk. People are whispering so they don't disturb their coworkers. It felt cold and restrictive. The second interview was with someone the position would work closely with. This person was extremely cold. I know this is sometimes used as a tactic, but for me, it's nothing more than a red flag for both the company and the person. I withdrew from the process. The questions weren't necessarily hard, but I could tell by the demeanor that the person was trying to throw me off and they were successful.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your thoughts on your interview process with Belimo. We always appreciate feedback! Seeing the working environment first hand is very important for both parties, as we understand you're interviewing us as much as we're interviewing candidates. We would want anyone joining our team to ensure they are comfortable in our HQ open/shared work space, as well as excited about the personnel you'd be working closely with. We respect your decision to withdraw your application and we hope you find the right professional fit for you!
