      Engineering Interview

      Jul 13, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Baton Rouge, LA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bell (Baton Rouge, LA) in May 2012

      Interview

Applied in January, received a call from HR on Monday of the second week in May notifying me of selection for an interview. Interview was two days later via phone. I spoke with the manager of my department and the engineer I would be assigned to. The conversation was very casual and there weren't any difficult technical questions. Once I was hired, I asked my boss why they picked me. He told me out right that they didn't really care much about technical knowledge, we were all engineering students and expected to know our stuff. The main point of the interview was to see how easy we were to talk to and gauge our enthusiasm for the company.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      1) Tell us about a project you worked on with a group, your role, and how your group overcame at least one challenge. 2) Why do you want to work at Bell? 3) General questions about interests and what you do for fun.

The recruiter cancelled twice on the interview, saying they were very busy. The questions were what if? Behaviorial, nothing about my experience and what I can do. I thanked the recruiter for his time and went to work at Lockheed. Just didn't get a good feel
